Thanks I Made That: DIYer Shares Her Fave Upcycling Projects

As someone who loves vintage and secondhand, Sophia also loves tweaking and upcycling her pieces for more personalization and usefulness in her closet.

Here are some of her favorite DIYs that she has done thus far, and hopefully they can inspire you to do some of your own!

1.Funky Fringe Cropped Corduroy Jacket

Of all of the fun and funky things I have made, this has to be the most fun and the most funky. I made it from my brother’s old corduroy jacket that no longer fit him, and used the trim from a vintage tablecloth. Definitely the statement piece of a lifetime!

2. Lace-Up Tights

After seeing these DIY tights all over social media, I knew I had to give it a go. They make for the perfect finishing touch to any of my looks, especially when its a little chilly outside.

3. Knit Bow-lero

I specifically created the tutorial of this DIY for Sustainable Baddie, and it's safe to say this is one of my all time favorites. I'm always reaching for it to complete any of my looks, and I love that the bow detailing gives it a little something-something!

4. Leopard Print Bolero & Skirt Set

After seeing this leopard top at an estate sale, I knew right away that I wanted to upcycle it. It has easily become one of my favorite sets!

5. Funky Green Bolero & Skirt Set

I made this set from a vintage nightie I got from an estate sale, and I love the funky print. The skirt is a midi length too, which is something I don’t have much of in my closet. I cant wait to experiment with outfits and color combos with this piece!
